Qualifications for LPN to RN Transition

Online LPN to RN Programs are designed for existing LPNs who wish to become RNs in the shortest time possible due to little repeat credits and course content. After passing the mandatory exams, graduates of the program will now be eligible to become RNs. The standard exam for all RNs is called NCLEX-RN (National Council Licensure Examination made for Registered Nurses). This exam will test nursing competencies and current medical knowledge in determining eligibility to move up their career ladder.

Major qualifications for LPNs to take up RN courses include:

• Completion of application for Nursing and Allied Health submitted to Division of Nursing & Allied Health before the deadline date stated in the form;
• Submission of interview with one of the faculty members from the program and the official transcript containing required courses;
• A GPA of 2.5 as a graduate of any nursing program approved by the State Board.
